Welcome to The Art of Somewhere

I’ve always believed that some of life’s most wonderful stories begin with a simple decision to go somewhere new.

Travel has been a special part of my life, both personally and professionally.  Along the way, I’ve discovered that the best journeys are filled with surprises – sometimes delightful, occasionally challenging, but almost always worth sharing.  I’ve also learned that a little curiosity, a sense of humor, and a willingness to wander can lead to experiences we never could have planned.

The Art of Somewhere invites you to come along.

We’ll explore wonderful destinations, discover charming places to stay, enjoy memorable meals, meet interesting people, and occasionally venture beyond the familiar.  I’ll share what I love, what surprises me, and what I think is genuinely worth your time.

And when something doesn’t quite live up to expectations, I’ll share that too.

Most of all, I hope these stories inspire you to make a few discoveries of your own.  Whether you’re planning your next great adventure or simply enjoying a little armchair travel, I’m delighted you’re here.
